Sometimes I hear that I’m “expensive.”
And I’d be lying if I said those words never sting.
Photography is one of those things where you can find someone at almost every price point. I know there are photographers who charge much less than I do, and I also know that what I offer isn’t meant to be the right fit for every family.
But what you see during your session is only a small part of the work that goes into creating your portraits.
Before I ever pick up my camera, there is planning, communication, location scouting, set design, styling, equipment, preparation and years of education and experience. Then comes the session itself, followed by hours of culling, editing, retouching, gallery preparation, ordering, marketing and all of the behind-the-scenes work required to run a professional photography business.
I don’t want to simply hand you a link of digitals.
I want to create something that becomes part of your family history. Something you can hang on your walls, place in an album, hold in your hands and someday pass down to your children.
And one of the things I am most humbled by is knowing that some of my clients have saved for months, or even all year to have me photograph their family milestones.
I never take that lightly.
That is also why I offer payment plans. Beautiful portraits are an investment, and if working with me is something you truly want, I will always do my best to make the process more manageable.
So yes, I may cost more than some photographers.
But behind every session is an incredible amount of time, care and heart and I will never apologize for building a business that allows me to give each family the experience and finished artwork they deserve.
