2023 was my fourth year submitting (40) images (within 6 of the possible 28 categories) to the Shoot & Share photo contest. 13 of which received a combined total of 21 'favorites'. The awards achieved from ranking results include my highest yet.

One image was considered the “Best of the Best” (within the top 100 entries per category), another ranked within the top 20% of all entries towards the respective category and two more within the top 30% of category submissions!! 🏆

The flamingo photo taken at Riverbanks Zoo & Garden in Columbia, SC placed 71st of 2,263 total wildlife entries- ranking in the top 3% of all category submissions!! It was 'favorited' by six voters.

The second and third photos were taken while attending Fall 2020 Wedding Workshop at the Kester Homestead in Memphis, NY. The bridal portrait ranked 512 out of 2,889 entries, earning a spot among the top 20% within the Styled Shoots/Fashion category.

The veil image made it to round 10 of 12 and ranked 812 out of the 2,889 Styled Shoots/Fashion entries, earning a spot among the top 30%.

Lastly, the macaron photo taken during a Styled Shoot Workshop at The Cracker Factory in Geneva, NY hosted by in April of 2021 also placed within the top 30% of all Styled Shoots/Fashion entries, making it to round 11 of 12 and ranking 621 of all category submissions.

Perhaps 2024 will be the year I finally place among the top 20 winners. 🤔🙊

I took a bit of a break from photography this past year, so I didn’t post nearly enough to narrow down much for a “Top Nine”.

However, as the new year approaches, I guess there’s no better time to finally get around to announcing 2022 Shoot & Share photo contest results… 🙌

I was one of 38,999 photographers who contributed (37) images within 9 of the possible 28 categories to the 123,610 submissions.

8 of which received a combined total of 24 'favorites', one image was a finalist and 2 made the top 20% of all entries within their respective categories!! 🏆

This may be my clue to start specializing in weddings and couples. 💒💍

I'm always content with growth! 💪 Ranking specifics as followed below.😸

The first two photos were taken while attending Fall 2020 Wedding Workshop at the Kester Homestead in Memphis, NY.

The bridal portrait was a finalist and ranked 419 out of 3,106 entries. It was 'favorited' by five voters.

The cake image made it to round 9 of 10 and ranked 524 out of the 2,670 entries, earning a spot among the top 20% within the Wedding Details category and receiving 10 ‘favorites’.

Additionally, a photo from the Parsons’ pre-deployment family session also placed within the top 20% of all Engagements/Couples entries, making it to round 8 of 10 and ranking 1,504 of 7,741 submissions.

Perhaps 2023 will be the year I actually revamp my small business as I establish myself among Southern clientele.
