Do you have a “good side”?
Most people have one—and sometimes they already know exactly which one it is.
During a recent headshot session with CityWide | Brad Hamblen's sponsored headshots at Keller Williams Realty Services, we tried different angles, expressions and poses to find what felt most natural for each person. A slight turn of the shoulders, a small change in the position of your chin or photographing one side rather than the other can make a noticeable difference.
But the most important headshot tip is simple: be yourself.
A good headshot shouldn’t make you look like a different person. It should capture you looking comfortable, confident and approachable.
If you already know your good side, tell your photographer. If you don’t, experiment with both. You may be surprised by which angle you prefer.
