He got into Photography at a young age. He took some classes in High School and College but really got into Photography as a hobby. He bought his first DSLR, Nikon 5100, in 2011 and instantly was hooked. TPL Photography was started as a place to display his work on the internet. TPL stands for Turkey Point Light. Turkey Point lighthouse is one of the Lighthouses on the Chesapeake in Maryland. His
grandfather, John T. Ronayne was an accomplished photographer and loved spending time on the Chesapeake on his sail boat. He and his wife lived in the community within walking distance of the Lighthouse. After he passed away his ashes were spread over the Chesapeake at Turkey Point. Billy works out of a studio in Wilmington, Delaware and will also shoot on location. He will shoot single portrait, couple/engagement portraits, group and family portraits and many different kinds of events.
