Been struggling to find the right words about Trooper O’Connor since everything happened because when I think about what happened frustration is all I feel . I didn’t know him super well but I ran with him a bit at 51 back in 2008–2009. The two things my brain keeps replaying are him walking into the firehouse after a storm saying his car was ‘gone’ because a tree crushed it, and him always posted up on the phone with his girlfriend between calls. It’s a small, kind of funny memory, but that’s how I remember him just a regular dude who served hard and still had everyday problems like the rest of us. RIP Corporal.

Remembering Trooper Timothy O’Connor

Today we honor a fallen hero, Pennsylvania State Police Corporal Timothy O’Connor. Corporal O’Connor dedicated his life to serving and protecting his community through his work with the Pennsylvania State Police and as a member of the First West Chester Fire Company. He exemplified what it means to be a public servant. His dedication to helping others and his unwavering commitment to public safety were evident to all who had the privilege of serving alongside him.

The loss of Corporal O’Connor is a solemn reminder that we must value service to our community—particularly the service of police officers who risk their lives to keep us safe. We hope that anyone reading this takes a moment today to talk with their friends, family, and children about how Corporal O’Connor’s service made Chester County a safer place.

Our deepest condolences go out to the family of Corporal O’Connor and his fellow Troopers. May he never be forgotten.

The funeral service for Trooper O’Connor will begin today at 11:00 a.m., and information regarding the livestream can be found on the Pennsylvania State Police page.
