A family spring family session but make it *fun!*

Listen- kids are kids and in my experience as a mom of 4 and doing this many years- young kids simply do not care about family photoshoots lol! They want to run around, explore, play, be silly..they are absolutely not stressed!

So my approach? I get the formal family photo FIRST THING when kids are fresh in their attention span and still figuring me out! The rest of the 43 minute session is spent playing!

Okay this was my first time shooting at the pond at springton manor during golden hour and it is soooo beautiful! Would totally go back- this is the time of year to shoot there (it's insane in the Fall- we went on a Monday evening this spring and it was so quiet) and somehow I didn't realize the pond hits perfectly at sunset for glowy images like these! Imagine having images like this forever and ever. Not only that, but printing them and displaying them in your home as art- that is the dream come true. Coming to client homes ignites so much creativity on my end- I am super inspired by interiors and my mind goes a million miles an hour! This is why I started preferring in-home sessions and why I phased out studio. I love featuring the well designed and well thought out interiors of my client homes! What better place to capture your first memories as brand new parents?

At the end of the day, I hope the newborn session we do together leaves you with images that can take you back in time and you can remember exactly how it felt to have a new little baby join your family. Not a day goes by where I wish I could experience every single one of my kids as a baby again. I’m grateful for the photos and how they make me feel like I’m going back in time for a moment.
