From “I do” to lighting up the dance floor... this day knew how to finish strong.
Their ceremony space was absolutely breathtaking, surrounded by some of the most incredible florals and a beautiful summer sky while these two officially became husband and wife. 🤍
The live painter was amazing to watch in action!
And once the formalities were over? It was time to CELEBRATE.
A room full of the people who love them most, gorgeous details everywhere you looked, plenty of laughter, dancing and one seriously memorable reception.
And those cold sparks during the dance?! ✨ Come ON.
I love a beautiful wedding day, but I love it even more when all of the beautiful details eventually give way to people simply having the absolute best time together. That's what all the planning is really for.
A beautiful beginning to what I hope is a very long, very happy marriage. 🤍

Can we just talk about the DETAILS for a minute?! ✨
This entire wedding day was absolutely dripping in florals and I could have photographed them for hours. From the ceremony space to the reception tables, every corner of Myers Wedding Barn was filled with the most incredible color, texture and beautiful little details.
The warm pinks, corals and reds against all that greenery... the gold touches... her lace... those shoes. 😍 Everything felt romantic and elegant while still being so bright and full of life.
And whoever needs to hear this: never underestimate what incredible florals can do for your wedding photographs. When the flowers are this beautiful, they become part of the entire story of the day, not just the bouquets.
And this florist absolutely knocked this one out of the park! 👏🏼
The makeup + hair was so on point it made even getting ready photos incredibly fun! 😍 And while the bride + groom didn't see each other before the ceremony they did stand back to back and say private vows to one another. So sweet! 🥰

Some wedding days are just ridiculously pretty from beginning to end... and this was one of them.
First of all, can we please have a moment for this bride?! Because outrageously stunning feels like the appropriate description. 😍 Her dress, her veil, her hair, the entire look... perfection.
But beyond how beautiful everything was, these two were just so much fun to photograph. Between the two of them, their people, that gorgeous bridal party, the florist going feral in the best way possible and an absolutely beautiful day at Myers Wedding Barn, there was no shortage of moments worth capturing.
And then the evening decided to show off a little more and gave us that sunset.
You KNOW I wasn't walking away from that. 😂
The veil. The sky. The two of them wrapped up in each other with that light pouring through. Those are the moments where I quietly lose my mind behind the camera because I already know exactly how good it's going to be. 🙌
So much love, so much beauty, and one very happy photographer with entirely too many favorites. 🤍

Sometimes you just have to trust the radar a little less and God a little more. 🤍
I’ve been photographing this family for years now, and every time I get them in front of my camera, I know we’re going to have a good evening. This one just made us work a little harder to get there. 😂
It had been stormy off and on all day, the radar looked less than promising, and we literally had rain hitting our windshields on the drive to the lake. With busy school and soccer schedules, rescheduling wasn’t exactly ideal-- so we crossed our fingers, said a little prayer and went for it.
And goodness, I’m glad we did. 🙌🏼
The rain held off, those storm clouds gave us the most incredible moody sky, and by the grace of God we ended up with such a beautiful evening together. Sometimes the skies you’re most nervous about turn out to be the ones that give you a little extra magic.
And once we had all the “official” family photos out of the way? We let the boys be boys. 😂 Straight into the lake they went, splashing, wrestling, soaking their clothes and giving me some of my favorite images of the entire night.
Because the perfectly posed ones are beautiful, but the photos where you can almost hear your kids laughing years later? Those are the ones. 🤍

Another sweet chapter for a family I’ve been lucky enough to have in front of my camera before. 🤍 And this time, they’re getting ready to add one more little love to the crew!
Naturally Iowa gave us a hot + sticky summer evening for these, because apparently maternity photos aren’t challenging enough without adding a toddler who has absolutely no interest in modeling 😂
But you know what toddlers are interested in?
A creek.
Once we gave this little guy permission to splash, explore, get his feet wet and just PLAY they honestly became some of my favorite moments-- Little hands holding Mom and Dad’s, wet toes in the creek, belly snuggles, and that tiny boy soaking up his last little bit of time as their only baby. 🥹
Would you be surprised that I completely overshot their session. 😂 It may be my worst habit, but it continues to be one my clients benefit from because HOW am I supposed to stop shooting when this keeps happening?!
I had entirely too many favorites from this gallery and narrowing them down for one post was basically impossible. Sorry, not sorry. 🤎
Soon this family of three becomes four, and I’m so glad we froze a little piece of this chapter before everything beautifully changes again.
Also, creek sessions + toddlers? Officially a cheat code. 😂👏🏼
