When Kennedy's mom started looking for senior portraits, she wanted something non-traditional. She wanted photographs that felt like Kennedy, but she was hoping for something else, too: a chance for her daughter to see herself the way her mom sees her.
I loved that reason for doing this.
Senior portraits document a particular moment in your life, sure. But when we have an entire studio session to play with, we can do so much more than make one version of you look great.
Kennedy's session moved through ten completely different looks, from jeans & a white tee to tulle gowns, to vintage dresses, with professional hair and makeup, styling, lighting and posing built around her.
Her mom later wrote, “She allowed me the chance to show my daughter what I see when I look at her.”
And Kennedy told me that even though being photographed can feel unfamiliar or awkward, the experience made her feel comfortable and at ease.
That's exactly what I want a senior session here to be.
Class of 2027 senior portraits are now booking in my Milwaukee studio. If your idea of senior pictures leans a little more editorial, a little more creative, and very specifically you, I'd love to hear what you're imagining.
