Thank you for all the birthday wishes! I had the most amazing day with my family and a much needed perfect night out with the husband. 🥰
These are the top three things I’m making a priority for the next.
1 - I will no longer make myself small to appease others. It was a sudden realization at one of my son’s hockey games that I quite literally have been making myself small so I don’t inconvenience others. I caught myself slouching to an extreme degree so the people behind me could see better. While I will continue to be a considerate human being I will also put myself at the top of the priority list.
2 - Quality time with friends and family this year. Doing things with intention not just out of busy habits. I’ll add that I will be voicing my appreciation and love too. On a recent family camping trip I told my aunts and uncle how much I appreciated them putting things in motion to make it happen for everyone. My uncle joked “is someone dying?” He’s a funny guy but I told him “no, I just want to tell you that I appreciate you. We should all do that more.” In today’s busy I think we forget to stop and have true connection and intention so get ready for me to make some people feel uncomfortable. 😅
