Man, what a season.

Had a great Christmas week back at my hometown with friends and family. Sledding with the family at 2am was the perfect ending to it all. Hope everyone had a great holiday filled with laughter and joy.

I’ve realized that I’ve often let my overthinking deter me from posting photos so I’m gonna try to overcome those thoughts. We’ll see how long it last.

I had the pleasure of flying back to Wenatchee to shoot a wedding last weekend. Aly and I had the time of our lives seeing friends, family, and being able to capture these two’s magical moment. Here’s a sneak peek of the day.

I remember the days when going to Lake Wenatchee during winter meant solitude and quietness. Those times seem to be behind us but as long as people pack out what they pack in and are respectful of wildlife and nature I don’t mind.

Would you believe me if I told you that these were all shot 5 min apart from each other? I’ve always loved how sunrises/sunsets drastically change the colors of the skies. Also crazy to think that there’s a valley with 50,000 people in it right below that blanket of fog in the 2nd photo.

A little over 3 years ago I had all my camera gear stolen in downtown Portland. We’re talking lenses, camera, laptops, external hard drives, etc. Even though we were thankfully able to get some money back via insurance, the lingering feeling of violation and anger had me deciding to stop pursuing photography. I’m saying all this because my lovely wife and parents surprised me with a brand new camera and lens for Christmas. Now here I am feeling just as giddy and excited for photography as I was when I received my first camera over 13 years ago. So look out 2022, I’m ready to capture some memories for myself and others again.
