🌾 Lincoln Wheat Cents — Tiny Coins, BIG History!

If you find one of these old Lincoln Wheat Cents, don’t toss it back into the jar! 👀🪙

The Lincoln Wheat Cent (aka the Wheatback) was minted from 1909–1958, featuring Abraham Lincoln on the front (obverse) and two wheat stalks on the back (reverse). Designed by Victor David Brenner, it was the first U.S. coin to feature a real person.

And these little coins have some incredible stories behind them—including the famous 1943 steel cent, the rare 1909-S VDB, 1914-D, 1922 No D, and 1955 Doubled Die. Some varieties can be worth far more than one cent!
