This past year has stretched me in a lot of ways. Life changed, priorities shifted, it was a lost season for me, and somewhere in the middle of juggling everything, I found myself pulling back — not just from social media, but creatively too. It’s easy to look around online and feel like everyone else is moving faster, doing more, or doing it better. Social media has a way of making everyone else look fearless and thriving while you sit behind a screen wondering if you’re falling behind. But I also know this: comparison steals the joy from something that was never meant to look the same for everyone.
This season has also reminded me why I started photography in the first place. My love for people, connection, emotion, storytelling, and preserving moments that matter. I love that so many of my clients have become friends.. And even through the heavier seasons, those parts never left.
So while I may have been quieter this past year, I haven’t stopped caring deeply about this work. If anything, I think this season gave me a different perspective… one that’s making me step back into photography in 2026 with more gratitude, intention, and appreciation for what I get to do.
This is just a little reminder that growth doesn’t always look loud. Sometimes it looks like resting, recalibrating, surviving hard seasons, and slowly finding your way back to yourself again.
So this is me showing back up — imperfectly, honestly, and without pretending I have everything figured out.
I’m excited for what’s ahead, excited to create again, and excited to reconnect with all of you. 🤍
