If you're visiting the San Juan Mountains of Colorado, Forebay Lake is a nice little acclimation hike to do when you first get there. The morning light and stillness made for gorgeous reflections, and the artistry of a resident beaver added a nice touch to the scene. I also like the air release stand pipe, associated with the nearby hydroelectric system.

On December 13, 2020, the fall colors at Lake Ashby, near New Smyrna Beach, Florida, were absolutely spectacular. The places you can see this much color in Florida are few, and it takes a stroke of luck to show up at the right time I'll never forget it!
