PSA: You don't need to have your kids practice saying "cheese!" ahead of your family photo session!

Trust me when I say you don't need to stress about how your child is going to behave or whether they'll smile.

Instead, we're going to lean into the chaos.

Let them play. Let them explore. Let them be silly. Let them take a minute if they need one.

I'll guide you when we need a little direction, and yes, we'll still get that photo where everyone is looking at the camera. But the rest?

Ringing the doorbell ten times before walking in.
Playing "restaurant" with a board game none of us actually remembers how to play.
Pouring half the bottle of rainbow sprinkles onto their after-dinner ice cream.

Growing up, her home was my home.
Then it became theirs.

One last visit.
One last ring of the doorbell.

Someday they'll forget the address.

I hope they never forget what it felt like to run up that driveway, ring the bell, and know Grammy was inside, waiting with a hug and a kiss.

Wasn't it just yesterday that you were taking the First Day photo and walking them to their Pre-K or Kindergarten teacher?

Now they're a little taller.
A little more independent.
And ready for their next adventure.

My Little Grads event was created to celebrate this milestone and preserve a piece of who they are right now — the big smiles, the missing teeth, the shy grins, the larger-than-life personalities.
