A little behind-the-scenes look at an incredible senior portrait session near Throckmorton, Texas!

Callen spends a lot of his time out on this deer lease doing what he loves alongside his Pa. So naturally, what better place to capture his senior portraits than somewhere that holds so many memories?

Cari and I had the opportunity to tag along with Callen and his Pa as they took us on what felt like our own private safari across thousands of acres of beautiful Texas countryside! We made stops along the way at some of their favorite spots, capturing Callen right in his element.

But my favorite part came at the very end.

As the daylight was slipping away, we made one last quick stop, hopped off the Jeep, and captured something pretty special. Callen and his Pa, standing side by side against a brilliant orange Texas sunset. Nothing but the silhouettes of their hats, their ri**es, and two generations sharing a moment together.

No fancy backdrop. No elaborate setup. Just a grandfather, his grandson, and a lifetime of memories between them.

And THAT is what I love most about photography. It’s not always just about taking a beautiful picture. Sometimes it’s about capturing a story that means something.

What an awesome experience and one we won’t soon forget! Thank you for letting us be part of it.

One of the best parts of what we do is getting to watch our clients grow through the years.

From some of their very first photos as babies and little ones… to senior portraits and all the milestones in between, it means more to us than we can ever say that so many families continue to trust Felts Photography with these memories.

There’s something really special about looking back at where it all started and realizing just how quickly the years have passed. We are so incredibly thankful for every returning client who allows us to be a small part of their family’s story.

What a privilege it is to capture these moments then… and now.

Thank you Schrick Family!
