True for so many areas of life....

But for this post, let's focus on what a declutter or organizational project could do for you.

➡️Declutter a closet of clothes and sell a few items today, you now have money for the unexpected repair that comes tomorrow OR. Donating allows someone else to enjoy what you weren't as it was piled somewhere you never got to.

➡️Organize your paperwork today. As tragedy comes in the family and you can find what you need without delay and focus more on emotion of grief than frustration. OR. When others need to know those important passwords, having that designated file is easily found.

These and so many more reasons to start today!

Sometimes getting started is the hardest part because the overall task seems overwhelming. Whether you need someone to just come in and start the process for you or to fully complete a project, give me a call!

You have one big mess of a room to declutter! Piles of broken items to fix, clothes to have sewn, papers to organize, items to yard sale or give away, and even..trash!

You become overwhelmed with just thinking of this room.

What does the starting point look like?

Start simple!
Sort the entire room into labeled category box/containers or baskets (stackable if the space is small) No open piles on the floor allowed once sorted. And that is your first step! There is no actual action of “getting rid” of anything at this point, celebrate this success before moving forward even if your goal is to keep going the same day. That way if you don’t complete your entire project that day, if you realize you need to find a specific item, then you have alleviated the overwhelming feeling of “it’s in this room somewhere” and it allows you to go to one categorized container to find it.

Not only that, but if your decluttering time is interrupted, using this process provides a good successful stopping point.

This first step is the key starting point of “removing what doesn’t belong in your life, to restore what does!”
