Today marks the final day of the Alpine Haus.

A building with a complicated history, countless memories, and a place in St. Robert's story.

Here's to the next Chapter.

I just want to stop for a second and say... Thank You.

This weekend in St. Robert meant more to me than words can really express.

The conversations, the kindness, and the support I received over the weekend reminded me why I started doing all of this in the first place.

But the truth is... these are my reasons why.

My family.

Everything I do, every photo I take, every story I tell, and every step I take toward building something bigger is because I want to create a future they can be proud of.

Air Topics has always been about showing the beauty, the people, and the stories that make these communities special. As I continue building and growing, that same heart is carrying into everything I do β€” including River Ridge Painting.

Different paths, same purpose: serve people, take pride in the work, and leave things better than I found them.

Thank you to everyone who has supported me, encouraged me, and believed in what I'm trying to build.

I see you. My family sees you. And we are grateful. ❀️

If you ask me... this is always the hardest part.

The end of a project.

After weeks of planning, preparation, and excitement, there is always that moment when everything starts to wind down.

The lights turn off.

The crowds go home.

And the memories become photos.

But if we're going to end Neon Fest...

Let's end it with a bang. πŸŽ†

The fireworks were the perfect way to close out an incredible night.

There are a lot of similar photos in this collection, but honestly... I wanted to share every shot I captured.

Because each one represents a moment.

A burst of light.

A crowd looking up.

A reminder of everyone gathered together in the same place, enjoying something special.

I also wanted to include some shots of Neon Park itself, because that space helped create the atmosphere that made this event what it was.

From the vendors, to the artists, to the cars, to every person who showed up...

Neon Fest was about more than one night.

It was about community.

It was about people coming together.

And it was about creating memories that last long after the lights fade.

Thank you to everyone who played a part in making this event happen.

Thank you for welcoming me in and allowing me to capture these moments.

This may be the end of the Neon Fest posts...

But the stories will always remain.

If you ask me... the car show was more than just a parking lot full of vehicles.

It was a collection of stories.

Every car had a reason it was there.

Some were built from the ground up. Some were passed down through generations. Some brought back memories of a different time.

But behind every hood, every detail, and every polished piece of chrome...

There was a person.

Last night, I had the privilege of walking around and talking with so many of the people who brought their pride and passion to Neon Fest.

The thing I'll remember most isn't the horsepower.

It's the conversations.

People sharing the stories behind their cars. The time they spent working on them. The memories attached to them.

Strangers stopping to admire something they may have never seen before.

People connecting over a shared passion.

That's what makes events like this special.

It's not just about the cars.

It's about the people.

In a world that can feel divided, it's moments like these that remind us we still have things that bring us together.

A conversation.
A shared interest.
A story from someone you may have never met before.

So when you look through these photos, I hope you don't just see vehicles.

I hope you see the time, dedication, and passion that went into every single one.

Thank you to everyone who brought their cars out, shared their stories, and helped make Neon Fest what it was.

You are a reminder that the things we build aren't always just about what we create...

Sometimes they're about the connections we make along the way.

If you ask me... the vendors are the heart of every community event.

Without them, events just aren't the same.

They bring the food that brings people together. They bring the handmade creations that tell a story. They bring the small businesses that take a chance on a weekend, hoping to meet someone new.

Last night, I had the privilege of walking around and talking with so many of them.

The thing I'll remember most isn't what they were selling.

It's the kindness.

People offering me food. A drink. A place to take a break. Conversations that started as strangers and ended feeling like friends.

That's the kind of community we should all be proud of.

In a world that can feel divided, kindness still exists.

You'll find it behind vendor tables, in small businesses, in a smile, in a simple conversation, and in people who choose to support one another.

So if you take one thing away from these photos, let it be this...

Support local.

Not because you have to.

Because behind every booth is a person with a dream, a family they're providing for, and a passion they chose to share with all of us.

Thank you to every vendor who helped make Neon Fest what it was.

You are the heartbeat of events like these.

Art has a funny way of bringing people together.

Walking through the Community Center last night, I found myself slowing down.

Every table held something different. Paintings, drawings, handmade pieces, and artists proudly sharing what they'd created. Some were talking with visitors, others were completely locked in on their work, adding the smallest details as if the rest of the room disappeared.

That kind of focus is inspiring.

Photography may not always be thought of the same way as traditional art, but standing in that room, I felt like I belonged there too.

We're all trying to do the same thing.

Create something that makes someone stop for a moment.

Thank you to every artist who shared your talent with our community. Your creativity, your attention to detail, and the passion you pour into your work didn't go unnoticed.

You made Neon Fest more than an event.

You made it an experience.

Sometimes success isn't measured by how many people show up.

Sometimes it's measured by the people who do.

When the rain rolled in, it would've been easy to pack up and head home. Instead, families grabbed umbrellas, kids kept playing, vendors stayed smiling, and the community made the best of it.

To me, that's what Neon Fest will be remembered for.

I also want to give a huge thank you to the City of Saint Robert, Missouri.

Putting on an event like this takes months of planning, countless volunteers, city employees working behind the scenes, and a lot of faith that the community will come together. Rain certainly wasn't part of the plan, but neither was letting it define the night.

That says a lot.

It shows a city that's willing to invest in its people and create opportunities for neighbors to come together, regardless of the forecast.

Community isn't built on perfect weather.

It's built by people who continue to show up for one another.

Thank you, St. Robert, for another memorable evening. It was an honor to document it.

Good morning, Pulaski County!

I hope everyone's had their coffee because we're about to start sharing all the photos from Neon Fest!

I told y'all it was going to be a late night...

Turns out it became a very early morning instead. πŸ˜…

The last photo was finished around 2:00 a.m., but looking back through them all reminded me why I love doing this.

There are moments that happen at every event that most people never see. A smile between strangers. Kids dancing without a care in the world. Vendors cheering each other on. Soldiers standing proudly. Families making memories they'll talk about years from now.

Those are the moments I look for.

I'm going to share these in photos in batches so each one can tell its own story, and I couldn't think of a better place to start than with the men and women who serve.

Last night, I finally had the opportunity to photograph something I've wanted to capture for a long time.

The men and women who wear our nation's uniform.

Rain or shine, they showed up with professionalism, pride, and a commitment that's bigger than themselves.

I have the utmost respect for every man and woman who chooses to serve. The sacrifices they and their families make are something most of us will never fully understand, but they are never taken for granted.

Thank you for your service, your dedication, and for all that you do.

It was truly an honor to capture this moment.

Hey guys!

Thank you for making Neon Fest such a special night!

If you're new to the Air Topics family, welcome! I'm glad you're here. And for those of you who've been around for a while... you already know the drill. πŸ˜…

It's going to be a late night processing photos, so I'll start posting everything tomorrow. As always, I'll post them in batches and group similar photos together.

I'll be honest... the rain definitely made for a slow start. Had it held off, I think the turnout would've been even bigger. But one thing I've learned about St. Robert is this...

Y'all don't let a little rain stop you.

What stood out to me most wasn't the crowd size. It was the people. The vendors who stayed, the families who came out anyway, the conversations, the smiles, and the community that kept showing up for each other. That's the stuff worth remembering. That's why I do this.

Without all of you, there wouldn't be these moments to capture in the first place.

Here's one aerial shot to end the night. The rest starts tomorrow.

Goodnight, everyone. I've got a lot of photos to sort through... and I can't wait to share them.

Hey, Pulaski County! Neon Fest is still a go!

Today's going to be a great day, and I can't wait to spend it with all of you at the City of Saint Robert, Missouri Neon Fest. Before everything kicks off, I wanted to share this view from above. It's going to look a little different later on!

Over the next few months, you'll start noticing some changes with Air Topics.

Not because the mission is changingβ€”but because it's becoming even more focused.

Photos, anyone can take them. Stories that leave an impact? Priceless.

From day one, Air Topics has existed to preserve the moments that make our communities special and to make those moments available to everyone. That's why my photos have always been watermark-free, and why I've always encouraged our communities, organizations, and businesses to use them however they see fit.

To help keep that mission going, Air Topics will be moving to a donation-supported model. Community events will continue to be covered free of charge, and anyone who believes in what we're building will have the opportunity to help support it.

Whether you've been here since 2023 or you just found this page today, thank you. Every like, comment, share, and conversation has helped Air Topics become what it is today.

Donations or not, you'll still find me out there chasing sunrises, community events, and the moments that deserve to be remembered.

I'll see you all out there today. ❀️
