Hey, it’s TA 🤍

There are very few photos of me in general, and an updated introduction seems long overdue.

I’m Taylor Ann, the Crouse behind the camera. Photography has always been my creative outlet, and a little over two years ago, I started sharing it with others. I’m actually a Physical Therapist and often get asked if photography is my main job. Honestly, it’s not my side gig, or even the side gig to my side gig. (If you need a Disney vacation, let me know 😉)

But CxC is my art (as cheesy as that sounds I know). It is still very much my creative outlet, and now I have the privilege of sharing it with others and helping bring their memories life.

My work leans timeless, authentic, and candid, with a deep love for black and whites. I photograph a little bit of everything, but I have a true love for heirlooms, families, travel, heavy on the Disney, and the ordinary moments where the magic is. Just Capturing life like a song.

A few things about me: I was having fridge cigs in college before they were a thing, black and whites are the superior prints, Grand Floridian meets Ralph Lauren is my aesthetic, my husband and daughter are most of my personality anddd I’m completely okay with that, and my life has a continual burned playlist/CD in my head for every moment because why not?

More than anything, I want the photos I create to feel like you. Photos are for your memories, not for socials. So you can truly remember and they should not be stressful. Not overly posed or perfectly polished, but honest, beautiful, and full of the little things you never want to forget.

their personalities are timeless and worth remembering🤍

For traditional heirlooms sessions, these would’ve probably been culled…. But that’s never been my style. My photos have always been rooted in capturing a moment as it felt and more documentary style. So when I started heirloom sessions, from the very beginning, I knew I wanted to give moms a little more. More than just a perfect pose and smile. Something that feels like they do. The in between bits are where the sweet personality lives and they are always some of my favorites.

But why do these plates make me feel so calm? This nursery is sooo good!! Lauren (Laud as I still affectionately call her) was my college roommate and truly never ceases to amaze me with her design skills and ability to DIY literally anything. So as no surprise, she blew me away with Mollie Andrews’ nursery.

And not only is she a wonderful interior designer, but a wonderful mother and friend. Lauren has always pushed me with my photography and truly one of reason I even share this hobby of mine. I told her no the first time she asked me to do Christmas cards. Told her no when she asked me to try heirlooms….reallyyy stood my ground lol

But I’m always thankful after her pushes. I always learn something new and get the honor to capture some beautiful moments for one of my favorite people in my corner🤍

Since I'll already be in town for the Skelton Fireworks, I'm considering opening a limited number of Heirloom & Personality Pop-Up Sessions on July 2nd and/or July 3rd.

If you've been wanting Captured x Crouse heirlooms that blend traditional heirloom portraits with the personality-filled images I'm known for, and you're located in or near Waynesboro, this would be the perfect opportunity!

Right now, I'm simply gauging interest to determine scheduling needs before I officially open booking. Availability will be limited, as these will be my standard heirloom sessions with plenty of time for both traditional heirlooms and personality portraits, rather than a shortened mini-session style event.
