Yesterday, I had the extreme privilege of spending some time with one of Maine's most iconic wildlife ambassadors, Byron the moose. For once, I didn't zoom in to get this shot- I really was this close to this gentle giant! If you've never seen a moose, the only guarantee is to head to the Maine Wildlife Park to see this guy. Thank you to Wildlife Keeper, Jade Canak; my buddy, Game Warden Kris MacCabe for rescuing Byron as an orphaned calf 13 years ago; and to all the staff at Maine's IF&W for everything they do to educate and protect our most iconic species. 🫎
