Haven’t posted in a while, but I just came across this unreleased photo from the same night I captured my first two highly popular lightning court photos. Those original photos were sold as limited edition prints—just 20 of each—and have long since sold out. If you missed out on them, I’m now offering this one as an open edition print for the time being.

A little context for this photo: it was taken on May 7th, 2023, at 12:13 AM, just moments after the first two shots. These three images are the very first photos in history of this courthouse—one of the most photographed in the country—taken during a lightning storm, capturing lightning striking above the building. They’re truly one-of-a-kind historical moments.

If you’re a fan of my work, a lover of this courthouse, or a proud Ellis County resident, this is a piece you’ll definitely want in your space. Message me for sizes and pricing if you’re interested—I’m offering Waxahachie local pick-up for every print sold.

This October, I’m offering a limited number of portrait sessions designed to capture something deeper—elegant, cinematic, and hauntingly timeless.

These aren’t ordinary portraits. They’re art pieces meant to embody mood, story, and atmosphere.

Sara Robinson's (and my) new tuned Durango HEMI 392.
SUVs usually carry loud, obnoxious kids in the back. This one carries nearly 500 horses that preach louder than any tantrum ever could.

A few days ago in downtown Dallas, I had the honor of photographing Waxahachie Fire-Rescue Department at the 9/11 Memorial Stair Climb. It was a living tribute to the 2,977 lives lost on September 11, 2001 — 343 firefighters, 71 law enforcement officers, 55 military personnel, and thousands of civilians.

Through my lens I saw flags raised, helmets bowed, and steps taken in solemn remembrance. Each moment was a vow: we will not forget.

“Greater love has no one than this, that someone lay down his life for his friends.” —John 15:13

And today, as we also grieve the tragic death of Charlie Kirk, we are reminded of another truth: life is fragile, but faith is eternal. Charlie was bold in his witness. He did not shrink back from sharing his faith, and neither should we. As followers of Christ, it is our duty to share the gospel with the world — with courage, with love, and without fear.

Let their memory call us to live boldly.
Let tragedy point us toward hope.
Let faith lead us forward.

Never Forget. Always Faithful. Always Bold.

The desert has a way of stripping life down to its bones. Out here, the road doesn’t just carry you forward — it confronts you with silence, scale, and permanence. The mountains don’t move, the canyon doesn’t yield, and the dam stands as a monument to human will against nature’s indifference. These places remind me that time carves deeper than footsteps, and survival is less about conquering and more about enduring.

🌟❤️ This past weekend was one of the most meaningful experiences of my life. ❤️🌟

My mom and I just got back from a trip to Las Vegas for my older brother’s wedding (will be making a separate post for that)—but the real gift was the time she and I got to spend together. I honestly think this was the first real vacation where it was just the two of us, and it’s been over a decade since we’ve had this kind of quality time.

I’ve always been a momma’s boy, but this trip just confirmed it even more. I can’t even put into words how thankful I am that we had these four days together, laughing, exploring, and making memories that I’ll carry with me for the rest of my life. 🙏

What meant the most wasn’t the Strip or the shows, but being out in the **desert—the real desert, the hot, sandy, rocky middle-of-nowhere kind of places—**where she hiked up the side of a mountain with me at 68 years old, like she was 30 again, just so she could watch the sun set with me while I photographed the landscape. That moment will stay with me forever.

And then there were the laughs—like watching Blue Man Group together and laughing in ways we haven’t in years, and all the little moments in between that made this trip unforgettable.

I know we didn’t step inside every single spot she wanted to see on the Strip, but what we did do—the desert, the adventures, the time together—was priceless to me. I’m beyond grateful to God that I still get to create memories like this with her.

Thank you, Glenda Parker Delacerda, not just for going on this trip with me, but for being the kind of mother many people in this world sadly never get to have or experience. I have always considered myself very blessed. I promise I’m going to make sure we do this more often. ❤️

Haven't posted in awhile. I have been extremely busy and bogged down with trying to run and build two completely different businesses that i have barely found enough time to do anything that has to do with my own personal photography. These are recent and local of course.
