What is home to you?
I’ve been thinking a lot about “home” right now. I will always consider Gunnison, Colorado home. I absolutely consider Waunakee, Wisconsin home - finally. I consider the little town I grew up in my parent’s home, but not mine. Some people may get offended by that, not understand it, disagree…but it’s my truth. Home is where my heart is most content & where I have chosen to invest my spirit.
I just got notice that I need to find a new “home” for my studio space when my lease is up (landlord is moving their business in, so I must go). After spending a year making my little space special and workable I feel nervous for change. Though, the new space I found will become home, too…perhaps even a cozier home that I know for certain will offer SO much space for growth. I’ve had a lot of studio homes over the years…I can do this again. But I’ll be so sad to say goodbye to my little historic gem. I’ll miss this quirky space that I worked so hard to make “home”.
Home is where you invest your heart. In space, in people, geographically, mentally…all of it. At least to me. What do ya think?
