From a few hundred feet up, you can see exactly how far Kettlestone Social has come β and a lot of people are asking what's next?
If you've driven past the corner of Grand Prairie Parkway and Westown lately, you've seen it taking shape: the two-story building that's going to anchor Waukee's new "Main Street." We've been documenting this site from the air, and the aerial view tells a story you just can't get from the road.
Here's where things stand π
Kettlestone Social was announced by Caliber and JCorp back in mid-2025 β a two-story food hall built for families and gatherings. The plans are ambitious: six food vendors, a rooftop bar overlooking an outdoor courtyard, plus pickleball courts, duckpin bowling, yard games, and an arcade. Basically an all-in-one spot to land after a game at the sports complex or just to spend a Saturday.
Then in January, it got a serious upgrade in star power β Exile Brewing Company signed on as the anchor tenant. That's RJ Tursi of Exile teaming up with Bob Tursi, the former owner of Tursi's Latin King. For Exile, it's their second location ever after 13 years. That's a big deal for Waukee.
The opening timeline has shifted from 2026 to 2027 as the project has grown β which is pretty common once a project this size locks in its anchor tenant and adjusts the buildout to match.
Zoom out and Kettlestone Social is just one piece of a 164-acre district that's becoming the town center Waukee never really had β restaurants, housing, trails, and entertainment all in a walkable footprint.
Curious what you all think:
Which of the six food vendors are you hoping shows up? And be honest β are you more excited about the rooftop bar or the duckpin bowling (I don't know what that is, but I'm going to look it up!)? π»π³
