These paintings were not made in hours alone, but in seasons…. Morning and night, light and shadow, each moment pressing upon me, stirring the spirit, lifting it, humbling it, and at times refusing rest, until the work itself found breath.

For this passage, I am grateful. For those who have walked beside me, I am grateful still. The painter’s life is, by nature, solitary… yet no labor of the soul is carried without unseen fellowship. Your presence and encouragement have borne me through its weight.

I look forward to meeting you again in the year ahead, when thought takes form and the inward life becomes visible. More will be shared soon.

Until then, receive my wishes for a generous new year. Hold close those you love, and remember the quiet gift of every breath.
