Do we "need" to shoot your engagement portraits together before your wedding? No... I'll always advocate for it though. It's really our only chance to get to know each other prior to one of the most important days of your lives.

What most couples don't realize is just how closely your photographer and you will be on your wedding day. We're your shadow. If there's no planner we're also your timekeeper, trying to stay on schedule but also capture every possible moment. If your photographer is like me, we're also trying to make sure you got a break from the chaos to eat something while simultaneously checking your list of must have photos making sure we got everything.

My point? We spend that WHOLE time together. Your whole day most instances.

So do we need the engagement session? No. But my hope is your wedding day can feel a whole lot less transactional, and more like a friend there to help create memories if we have the chance to know each other first 🙏🏻
