Hi friends!
With it being only the second day of June, I'd like to take a moment to address some things.
We are 100% very proudly woman, LGBTQ+, mama owned. I do not tolerate anything less than basic kindness and respect. If I see something, I will say something. You will always be safe with me, and I have various safety measures I put in place to ensure the best experience for all clients.
With that being said, I have also personally volunteered and dedicated a good chunk of my time this past year to supporting our veterans. Growing up in a proud military family right next to Ft. Drum I have an ingrained sense of patriotism I'm sure you can only be born with. This beautiful country was built on the backs of my ancestors, both native and immigrant.
Every June, I see an increase in conversations suggesting people have to lean one way or the other. For some reason, being proud to be LGBTQ+ and being proud to be an American are divided. I especially see a lot of rhetoric revolving around the flags. These are not competing flags, one does not have to cease to exist for the existence of another. However the lives of many had to perish for both flags to exist, and that is what the focus should be.
Let it be known both can coexist beautifully, and hatred will only cause more division.
I hope you choose kindness not only today, but every day.
I hope you choose love not only in June, but every month.
I hope you support our troops, in their battles on the field and at home.
I hope you choose to continue regardless of the difficulties you're facing.
But most importantly, I hope you choose not to spew vile hatred toward another human being.
💜
