Last weekend, I competed in the first film competition I’ve ever been a part of. It was quite the experience to say the least. We had 48 hours to write, shoot, and edit a 4-7 minute short film.

Somehow after multiple script drafts, a last minute location lock in, and a couple 3AM grind sessions myself and a skeleton crew of incredible people pulled together and created something that we submitted.

I’m incredibly proud of the work we did and what we put together. This has inspired me to continue getting back into creative work, and soon produce a short film of my own(without the time restriction😂)

Shoutout to everyone who ended up being a part of this. You all have helped motivate me to create more. Can’t wait to see what’s next.

We’ll see when/if we release this publicly. Let’s see if it wins any awards 👀🏆

We invite you to join our initiative Steps That Serve!

Through dance, active engagement classes, and community outreach, our goal is to help raise funds for affordable meals while also collecting essential supplies for local unhoused neighbors.

As part of the initiative, we are organizing donation drives throughout Hartford for our “Kindness Kits” care packages, as well as non-perishable food donations. The “Kindness Kits” would consist of hygiene and everyday essentials like toothpaste, wipes, deodorant, tampons, socks, and other necessities. 

Our goal is to help make an impact on food insecurities the folks in the Hartford community are experiencing by exposing folks to the arts through Parkville Sounds. When taking our dance “STEPS THAT SERVE” classes those funds will help directly feed the community with help of Hands on Hartford and Gather 55. Providing funds for meals directly, donated supplies and community support

We hope you join us June 27th to cap off this initiative with food, dance classes, music, and volunteer opportunities to help the Hartford community.
