Mister~ His wings didn't unfurl properly. By the time I found him and gave him something to climb on it was too late...his wings had hardened. He won't be flying to Mexico. He was in my garden for 5 days, feasted on my flowers, fluttered around trying so hard to fly...and now he's gone. This is the hard part of being a host

I didn't photograph the old Orange School south of Waterloo but I did finally stop to see those pretty trees. Ive been wanting to do that for years. Driving by with my ice cream cone, a colorful sunset on the horizon, and beautiful trees..... purrrrfect

What an incredible journey this Monarch Mark will have. He's the new super generation that will fly all the way to Mexico. The plant we planted 2 years ago because we liked the little orange flowers turned out to be Butterfly W**d. I started finding caterpillars eating the plant from little babies to 5th instar to chrysalis in both stages to marvelous Monarch. I've been researching and learning for 3 weeks now and to top off this really neat experience..before Mark flew away, he landed on my shoulder! Maybe he was thanking me for guarding him. The pleasure was all mine little lovely fella. Spread those wings, fly high and have a safe journey.🧡🖤
