The passion began when I started shooting portraits of family and friends on 110 film in 1999. I was homeschooled throughout middle school and high school, where I was given the freedom to pursue photography academically. I read any book I could get my hands on and that introduced me to various styles and subject matter. I then practiced those arts on 35mm film in my free time. After graduating in
2005, I proceeded to take adult education photography classes until 2010. These classes covered history, techniques, hands-on learning and open discussions. Also, with each class, new students would bring a new creative perspective which I enjoyed. I then moved across the country to New York where I was continued working in the field as well as utilizing educational tools. I have most recently completed a 10 video course from the Nikon School Online. I still pursue and enjoy photographing a wide array of subjects including portraits, pets, architecture and nature. I now shoot on a Nikon Z50 body with NIKKOR lens. But I will always have a soft spot for film grain. My current location is in Upstate New York.
