ENVIRONMENTAL PORTRAITS
Some people call these the “little people, big world” photos.
The wide ones. The frames where the couple becomes part of something bigger than just themselves. The architecture, the landscape, the light, the quiet space around them. Environmental portraits like these are a huge part of how we tell a story.
They’re always mixed in with the closer, more intimate moments. The tight frames, the emotion, the connection. Together they create rhythm. Like a film that moves between sweeping establishing shots and quiet close-ups. Each one plays its role in telling the full story of a wedding day.
For me, these images also scratch that creative itch. They challenge me to take a step back and look at the entire scene, not just the subject. Layering foreground, background, and light in a way that adds depth and context. They’re often some of the most fun images for me to create, and they allow a little bit of my artistry to show through the frame.
They’re not just wide photos.
They’re a key component in our storytelling process that our clients have come to love about our work.
