The last time we saw the Northern lights in Mississippi I had lots of fun using night mode on my phone camera but this time I had my actual mirrorless camera in my truck and I’m soooo glad I did because how cool are these silhouettes?!? This is 100% unedited straight out of camera and all I can say is wow! What a blessing to get to see such a cool sight with people I love! So cool too that was looking at the same red aurora in Wyoming tonight!

As a photographer in Oxford, Mississippi, I often find myself visiting the same spots around the Square with different clients - seniors and couples. One of my goals is to capture these locations from different perspectives so that the photos don’t all look the same.

Your photos should be as unique as you are and your gallery deserves a look of its own. This engagement session was the perfect chance for Marya and Brad to get to know me and to have a little fun around Oxford while they were back for a visit. I’m excited to see them at The Powerhouse in the spring for their wedding!

Congratulations to Mr. and Mrs. Kimzey! Today was a beautiful day for a wedding at The Butler, and Peyton and Kane had a great one surrounded with so many friends and family. The Trosts had the most beautiful Oxford, MS wedding at St. John’s Catholic Church followed by a reception on the rooftop of the Courtyard by Marriott💍

After the ceremony the bride and groom took a ride around the historic Oxford square in the convertible, and I of course had to grab a drone shot because it was too perfect to pass up.

A few years ago, this spot was the backdrop for their engagement photos, and this time they came back to celebrate a brand-new chapter: becoming parents.

There’s something so special about returning to a place that already holds your memories and adding another layer to it. This time, the smiles were a little softer, the laughter a little deeper, and the love even stronger.

Sometimes the best photo locations aren’t new at all, they’re the places already woven into your story. The trails you walk, the barns you pass, the fields you’ve made memories in. Familiar spaces often hold more heart than any trending photo location.
