A dreamy Great Horned Owl male in the springtime. 🦉🌿

I was really hoping this pair would have a successful nesting season, but unfortunately, nothing ever came of it. I kept checking in on them, and the female would still be sitting on the nest, but I never heard or saw any owlets.

I’m not sure if a predator got to the nest or if the eggs simply weren’t viable. Whatever happened, I hope they give it another try and have much better luck next year! ❤️
