Life doesn’t always give us what we want, it gives us what we need.

And sometimes what we need is to completely shift gears.

I’ve been homeschooling and building a business mostly by myself for almost 15 years now.

In 2024, my body told me I needed to do something drastically different in my life for the sake of my health.

In 2025 it got louder.

So in July 2025, we sold our house, that included a couple acres with some chickens and my horse and a pool, put it all in storage, drove my horse to Kentucky from Arizona to live out her retirement dreams at a beautiful farm there, drove back to the West Coast to buy our camper, and then took off to Idaho and Utah for the fall.

People told me I was “crazy”. I don’t think my husband super loved it. But my nervous system and my heart and my soul and my daughters were super excited.

Within two days of being on the road, my anxiety and depression vanished.

My creativity and my inspiration for my business and my clients and my content reappeared.

My sleep improved.
My daily headaches went away.
My heart rate slowed down.
My capacity for motherhood grew.
My ability to be present was easy.

This past year has given me and taught me so much for myself, for my clients, for my offers.

Not only am I now bringing energetic business coaching to my branding photography sessions, I’ve also created a mentorship and a membership space for Mothers.

A space that I wish I had when I was a newer Mother.

A lot of you are running a business while raising babies. From experience, that is no easy task, but it is one of the most fulfilling and empowering things we will do with our lives.

In our modern society, we often shrink ourselves to fit the mold we’re “supposed to“ be in as a wife, as a Mother, as a woman entrepreneur. But the truth is, that serves nobody in our lives.

Last year, I decided that I am done playing small in my life and my business.

I’ve been working on building a space, a community, a mentorship for Mothers for a few months now. ❤️

Whether I’m working as a Doula, a Birth coach, or a photographer, my mission is always the same: support women and Mothers.

We live in a world where we don’t actually have a modern day village, so we have to BE the village.

I’ve created a 5 day audio challenge that starts next week, on July 20, where we will cover the 5 areas of your life where you are either shrinking or expanding.

It’s called RESTORATION as we are restoring our ourselves back to who we were always becoming before we started playing small out of exhaustion in Motherhood, the comfort of others, or simply because we think we are “supposed to”.

When we become a Mother, we are designed to step into the Matriarch role. Most of us don’t do that. We didn’t have an example of that growing up or our jobs are too demanding or our partners do not give us the space to do so or we can’t keep up with our businesses so we let something slide, or any other number of reasons why we shrink ourselves for comfort.

I did that for a long time and it served nobody….not myself, not my children, not my family, not my clients, nobody. I’ve stopped doing that and I want to help you stop doing that also.

Next week, for 5 days, we’re gonna talk about shame and guilt and intuition and authenticity and birth trauma, and all the things in women’s lives that cause us to shrink our ourselves, sometimes even unconsciously. fFor 5 days, you receive a 15-20 minute audio drop in your email inbox that you can listen to at whatever time is convenient for you. Happy holidays!

i’ve had a really hard time being consistent on Instagram this fall and holiday season. My girls and I are full-time traveling right now in a travel trailer. We’ve spent most of the fall and beginning of winter in the northeast and seeing family members and friends that we love and miss while trying to do all the festive holiday things.

it turns out working from home consistently in a travel trailer with three kids is really difficult😂 so I haven’t spent much time on social media. However, I’ve been very present with my kids and people we’ve spent time with.

How are your holidays? Where are you spending them? What are your plans in the new year?

If you are in Yuma, I will be available for shoots in January and May, and then I’ll be moving my business away from the area.
New destination: TBD!
