Stelzer Family | St.Charles | 2026
This session is one I will hold near to my heart forever.
I met Pat on a pure chance. We were both at Mercy taking care of some things when we both found ourselves at the gift shop browsing. Pat had asked a question about something similar that I had just dealt with so I offered to help her with it. We started to chat about different topics- when Pat brought up her brother, Jim. She told me that Jim has stage 4 colon cancer- ultimately meaning Jim has terminal cancer. She told me all about her family, as well as Jim and his family. She told me how Jim has 2 amazing sons, a wonderful daughter in law, and 2 of the sweetest twin granddaughters. She also told me about their parents and other siblings, some who have passed as well. She brought up wanting family pictures and wanting to do them with Jim and his family. I let her know I do photography and left her with my number, I told her when they are ready to do pictures to let me know. She shortly after texted me and we began chatting to organize this session. We were able to find a date that worked for all parties and oh my! The Stelzer Family is one of the most wonderful families I have EVER met. We chatted, took pictures, shared stories, and ultimately spent an evening making memories I, as well as the Stelzer family will forever cherish.
Please take this post as your sign to get checked. Do the lab work, do the colonoscopy, listen to your medical team, take the precautions. Do your part and monitor your health- because you never know. ๐
