I’m down that impossible rabbit hole of filtering through thousands of photos from this year so I can finally finish my new website I started designing in May 😂. Indecisiveness x4 billion over here, but at least it gives me a chance to see everything I haven’t been posting. Each year just gets better and better and evolves as I do and I love that about this work 🖤

You ever forget your insta password because you’re always logged in and then have to change your password and then somehow it disconnects you from all of your other insta accounts and you can’t get back in to one of them for a week? 🙋🏼‍♀️

I’ve been mia again, but not by choice 😂. Yay for being logged back in and sharing fall photos while I look out at snow on the ground 👍🏼

Final run through on Kaycee + Jake’s gallery 🖤. Another bittersweet one to finish up. This day was obviously stunning, but jammed with just as many heartfelt moments as physically beautiful ones. I’m so excited for them to revisit this day from my view.

I know time goes fast, but this year it felt like I just saw all of you a month ago l, but the babes are a year older.
It’s such a crazy perspective, to capture a personality with hundreds of days in between the last time and squeeze it all in minutes. I’ll never not love that challenge. It forces me to not just see, but actively look deeper at people. How you interact with each other is so mundane and normal to you, because you do it every day. But to me, it’s very loud. Because an hour ago I saw a different fam, with different words and touches and it’s fascinating how different their photos will feel from yours and the next fam I see.

It’s all just a very poetic way of describing my creep status I suppose 😂📸

POV: the sessions that make you love what you do.

Here’s the deal, I know fam photos are stressful. I know not everyone wants to be there. Sometimes when you all get out of the car with a a high pitched “hi!!!” I’m going to assume you were all just screaming at each other and driving too fast to make your session time where you all have to pretend you like each other 😂👏🏼. I love you, I get it more than you know, but instead of making this the yearly thing you just HAVE to do for the Christmas card, take a step back and a breath and realize this is just as fleeting as a wedding day. You all will never be the same as you are right now. I can’t capture the true essence of your family if you’re putting on a show that isn’t real.
Are your kids nuts right now? Awesome. That’s how we want to remember this phase of life, so LET THEM BE NUTS. Does your spouse not want to be here and hate the outfit you picked out for them? Talk about it beforehand. Talk about what you want out of this. You’re paying a s**t ton of money for photos, what do you want them to be? Involve everyone in the decisions for the shoot like they’re all going to be in it…because they are.

Been feeling really aligned lately with sending previews straight to my people so they can enjoy and share first. It just feels right 🤎

Steph and Mitch had an amazing September wedding, missing all the rain and everything working out exactly as it should have. These two are so down to earth and so perfect for each other. Back to my life of crying while shooting private vows furiously blinking so I can see. Lol.

Props to for executing every dang wedding so seamlessly, flawless florals per usual, and for the best guest experience at weddings always.
