Full circle moment…her mother buttoning up her wedding gown and then a couple years later, buttoning up her baby daughter’s gown.

These are the sacred moments I treasure and feel so honored to capture.

This also got me thinking about what it means to capture a legacy. How special it is to journey with a family in all of their milestones through photography and be given the task to seek the moments that tell their story not just of one day but of a lifetime.

How beautiful it is to witness God’s goodness in the ordinary.

Happy Feast of St. Francis! What a perfect day to be getting married. Can’t wait to celebrate Brittany and Andrew as they enter the beautiful and blessed sacrament of marriage. St. Francis pray for us 🙏🏻

Sophia + Luke’s Wedding was the perfect one to step back into after Francis’ birth 💍

Honestly, I wasn’t sure how it would feel photographing a wedding again after everything our little family has been through. But this one was exactly what my heart needed. The most incredible vendor team, a couple so clearly in love, and friends and family who have clearly witnessed their faith. It reminded me instantly why I fell in love with this work.

The Maid of Honor said something that’s been sitting with me: “when it’s really bad, it’s actually really good — and that’s where the real love is.” She was talking about the beautiful suffering that comes with marriage, and it resonated so deeply. John and I have been saying it constantly since Francis arrived — it’s never been clearer that God made us for each other through this covenant. The sleepless nights, the chaos, the way we’re being refined together in the unknown— it’s all grace.

That’s why I love serving couples on their wedding day. I know firsthand that the joy, the vows, and the beauty of a wedding day can and will be a consolation when life gets hard later. A reminder of God’s goodness and faithfulness when they need it most. What an honor to witness and capture that.

Congratulations to Sophia and Luke as you begin this beautiful, sacred journey together ♥️

Francis Roy was born on April 1st in critical condition with a diagnosis of HIE (Hypoxic Ischemic Encephalopathy). We are still waiting for a lot of answers as to how deeply it has affected him and his development. If you can say a prayer for him, we would be eternally grateful.

We believe the Lord is healing him everyday answering the prayers of His children and Francis’ brothers and sisters in Christ.

He is named after the many great St. Francis’ of the Catholic Church and his grandfather, Roy, who is with the Lord in Heaven. Please pray through their intercession if you feel called to do so.

Last but not least, Part IV of Bella + Adrian’s Wedding Day features their Newlywed portraits to include their first Taco Bell excursion as Mr. and Mrs. Go along with their reception and send-off.

There were so many special moments throughout their reception that showed how much they are loved and supported in this new chapter of their lives. I wish I could share their entire story because it’s truly a Hallmark movie. Truly, God cleared weaved their lives together to bring them together for the rest of their lives.

And MAN, do they and ALL of their friends and family know how to PARTY!!! It was an absolute blast and I know I’ll be sharing so many of their reception photos in the future because they give us all a lesson on how to bring down the dance floor at a wedding. 🕺💃🏻

CONGRATULATIONS MR. AND MRS GO! Now go and show the world God’s joyful, adventurous, and unconditional love!

Part II of Bella + Adrian’s Wedding Day - Nuptial Mass and Wedding Party Fun!

There are so many photos that I want to share from their nuptial Mass. 😭
The amount of times I caught Adrian admiring his bride and Bella with pure joy on her face left me in a puddle. Not just that but the beauty and reverence they had for the Lord was a beautiful witness to all of their family and friends as united themselves to each other through Christ.

All of that joy that be clearly seen in their wedding party photos as their closest friends celebrated them before heading to the party of a lifetime…just you wait and see ☺️

“Enjoy life with the wife you love…” Ecclesiastes 9:9

Hands down - my favorite engagement sessions to capture are located in places that represent the couple or something enjoy doing together. Abigail and Curtis chose Downtown Front Royal and stopped to get some coffee together which is also how they won over my heart.

I have a few goals when delivering your engagement gallery one of which is to give a glimpse into your relationship for friends or family who have not met your fiancé. I also hope that these photos witness the joy you bring to one another for others to see but ultimately for you to remember in the many years to come.

No matter what happens in life, don’t forget that God made you in order to “share in his own blessed life” (CCC 1). The sacrament of marriage is one of the most beautiful gifts from God to experience what this truly means.

There are so many reasons I love being a Catholic wedding photographer, but getting to attend each wedding Mass is definitely in my top 3. Having the opportunity to photograph in beautiful churches, listen to the specific readings that each couple decides on, and the varying styles of music selections to worship and glorify the Lord - it is a gift!
