If you only have one sunrise in Zion, this is where Iβd watch it...

π Canyon Overlook, Zion National Park, Utah
This is the easiest big payoff in the whole park. A short trail leads you out to a ledge that opens up over Pine Creek Canyon, and right as the sun comes up the whole valley turns gold below you. No crowds, no shuttle, just you and one of the best views in Utah before most people are even awake.
Why itβs worth waking up early:
π₯Ύ Only about a mile round trip, doable before breakfast
π Front-row seat to the sun lighting up the canyon walls
π Right off the road past the tunnel, no shuttle needed
πΈ One of the most photographed views in Zion for a reason
Pro tip: get there 20 to 30 minutes before sunrise to grab a spot on the ledge and watch the color build. Bring a headlamp for the walk in.
Leave No Trace: stay on the trail and pack out everything, this ledge has no railings so watch your footing.
Would you hike out for the sunrise here or save it for sunset?
