I took thefollowing photos of local bellydancers, professionals all, at their" Hafla In the Park" at Neridian Hill/ Malcom X Park in Washington DC. on August 7 and at Fiesta Asia Silver Spring on August 13.
The word "hafla" from the Arabic is a type of get-together or party.

Belly Dancing, also known as Raqs Sharqi ('Eastern Dance' in Arabic) is an ancient art form that traces its origins to Egypt and is performed at celebrations and social gatherings.
