2025 was horrific and filled with massive success.

This year tested me in every way, stretched me thin, and still somehow delivered some massive wins, and lessons I couldn’t have learned any other way.

I’m starting 2026 year quarantined from the crew with a cold feels oddly symbolic. A final purge of all the nonsense, stress, and residue 2025 tried to leave behind. Not how I planned it, but maybe exactly how I needed it.

I’m stepping into this new year with as much hope, clarity, and intention as I can give. I’m also grateful for the people who rode with me through the chaos and the breakthroughs alike.

I became a photographer so I wouldn’t have to be on this side of the camera… yet here we are. 😂

Those who know me well know that around this time of year, I usually sit my light skindededed self down somewhere and hibernate until spring. But I did a thing.

I’ve been encouraged by the courageous work of the Bison Impact Group, and they’ve allowed me to tag along on their mission to uplift, build, and pour back into our community. Honored isn’t even the word.

Huge love to , , and the entire family for the push and the purpose.

These two were a perfect reminder of what happens when love meets intention. during the exchange of vows, Dominique mentioned how Pedro asked “why not?”, when referencing her wants and dreams

Why not dream bigger?
Why not build the life you both imagine?
Why not choose joy, choose partnership, choose each other—again and again?

Capturing your day was a privilege. The way you love is soft, steady, and beautifully fearless. May you keep saying “why not?” for the rest of your lives, and may every new chapter feel like a door you opened together.

Going through some old archives today had me feeling a little sentimental. Being a parent means watching your kids grow and change faster than you ever expect. One day you’re tying their shoes, and the next they’re off making their own choices. Those little moments really do fly by. As much as you want to hold onto each stage, part of parenting is learning to let go slowly—while still cheering them on every step of the way.

Gentle touches, coy looks, and a vibe that’s all their own — their personalities just fit so perfectly together. Couldn’t ask for a better couple or a more perfect day inside the city’s walls. Last night, I had the honor of photographing at the legendary . Every now and then, life lines up in a way that lets me witness people I love doing what they love — and I get to document it. There’s no greater joy for me.

Last night was a reminder. A nudge to live authentically. To listen to your heart. And to never underestimate the power and necessity of Black creatives telling our stories — stories of joy, of resistance, of presence.

Representation matters—always has, always will. Every time I step behind the lens, I’m reminded of the power of storytelling, especially when it comes to capturing the beauty, brilliance, and joy of Black love in all its forms.

Photographing Preston and Donald, two incredible Black lawyers, was an absolute honor. Their story is a testament to resilience, excellence, and the power of community. A huge shoutout to and the .dc for helping bring their vision to life so beautifully.

As we celebrate Pride Month, we also honor Black Pride—because in a world where marginalized communities continue to face attacks, it’s more important than ever to stand up, speak out, and celebrate love in all its forms.
