Feeling a bit overwhelmed this week so just taking a few moments (when I can) to slowww down. Right now that looks like a little extra boost to my skin care routine, and taking a few intentional breaks between the endless editing, calls and emails. And my dear fellow humans- if you’re feeling like this too, I hope you’re finding moments of calm, however feels best to you. 💛

When really cool people make something so gorgeous, you support however you can, am I right?! Had a BLAST shooting this amazing new candle from in collab with — It smells insanely good, the Borealis branding is on point (as per usual), and I just have so much respect for these two female owned businesses. What a treat to create and support their endeavors!

It’s Monday and it’s been a while since I said hello here- so here we go!
I’m Mary (she/her)- photographer, event specialist, and mama to the best babe, . I’m a Massachusetts native, and have been living in the DMV for nearly 9 years now (whoa!). My current obsessions are cinnamon nut rugelach, the phone app (don’t @ me I know I’m late to the game). I love creating colorful, engaging images that support the dreams of passionate folx. Yeah this shot about sums it up- I’ve been totally off my game these last two weeks- started daycare, which has been more emotional than I thought it would be, honestly. I’m so impressed by her resilience but the transition is emotionally taxing on all of us (and is wreaking havoc on her sleep schedule). So this weekend, we’re really soaking up our time together as a family, because while I’m immensely thankful to no longer be simultaneously working and parenting all day. I miss that little goober basically non-stop.
Special Friday shoutout to all the parent / caretaker biz owners just doing the 👏🏻 damn 👏🏻 thing 👏🏻.

Oh hey there 2021. I’m thrilled to say “see ya never” to 2020, and more than anything, I’m ready to do everything in my power to grow this year- in my business, as a mother and wife, in my commitment to equity and justice and, just all around, as a person. Never been much of a “resolutions person”, but I want to know- What are your 2021 goals??

No matter your plans for the next 365, I’m wishing each of you a year full of happiness, self care, learning and balance!

Shocking to no one, this year everyone’s favorites were and one of my fave projects of 2020, which celebrated this amazing city I’ve come to love so much. Thankful for these moments in such a wild year- here’s to 2021 y’all!
