Oh my gosh oh my gosh oh my gosh. You guys. I am having SO MUCH FUN putting together these custom style boards for my Motherhood in Full Color event! Like, can you even with these LEWKS!!! 😍😍

Just so you know, the Pink Blush sessions are sold out, but I still have ONE butter yellow session and ONE lavender session available! And yes, I will create a custom style board for you and your fam (with shopping links to make it SUPER easy!)

If you’re like, wait what the heck is she even talking about: I am hosting a super fun and colorful Motherhood Mini Session event on Saturday, May 30th at in Old Town! Families can choose from three color backdrops: butter yellow, lavender and pink blush (now sold out). These sessions are slightly longer than my normal minis (30 mins instead of 15) so we have more time for fun! These sessions are exclusively for Moms, Grandmas and the kiddos :)

Apparently, I’m feeling mushy today!!! 😅🥰 Sometimes it’s just hard to believe this is how I get to spend my days! And I want to make sure you know that I’m grateful for each and every of you. THANK YOU!

For those of you who are NOT counting down the days until the end of winter, don’t worry - I have been 😅😅and MARCH STARTS THIS WEEKEND!! March is the month of pink magnolias and cherry blossoms. The month of longer evenings and warmer days. We’re almost there, you guys!!!

My cherry blossom sessions have sold out, but I still have TWO pink magnolia sessions left if you are hoping for a family session under the blossoms 😍🌸

Here’s what you should know if you’re considering a pink magnolias session:

🩷 They typically bloom in mid-to-late March and are really the first big “floral” moment for the city!
🩷 These blossoms can be found in multiple locations across the city including the Smithsonian Castle garden, the U.S. Capitol, Rawlins Park, and quiet residential streets.
🩷 They are GREAT for spring family photos because they bloom before peak cherry blossom crowds, so these sessions feel a lot calmer, softer and more relaxed than cherry blossom sessions.
🩷 They can still draw crowds though, so I only offer these sessions on the weekdays!

Do you agree?!

I am a pink magnolia STAN. And from my perspective, they are MUCH easier for family photos. Less crowded, easier parking, no Tidal Basin that we have to keep toddlers from toddling into (😅), and so much more peaceful 🩷

💖 Eloise & Samantha 💖

Big Sis Eloise came in for her Personality Portraits, microphone-ready, looking STRAIGHT out of a Limited Too catalog!! A girl after my own 90’s kid heart 😍🤩 She sang Wannabe for us by the way (aka we were all singing with her cause how could we resist?!)

Little Sis Eloise came in ALL sparkles and sunshine, twirling about in her colorful dress, SO excited to show us what was in her treasure box! She also boogied her little heart out as her sister sang the Spice Girls 💞

Both girls totally and completely ROCKED their Personality Portrait sessions!!!! (And made my day while doing it 😉)

Bought my first baby pumpkins last night!! From Costco, no less 😅

And now it’s moody, misty and chilly outside? FALL IS UPON US - and I truly could not be happier!! Right now is the time of the year where I start reading witchy cozy mysteries, drinking pumpkin coffee almost exclusively and wondering how early is TOO early for my first Hocus Pocus viewing of the year 😉

What’s your favorite early fall tradition?! Tell me in the comments below: it can be small and mundane OR wild and over-the-top!

Come as you are ❤️

— Choose an outfit from your closet that you already own, no need to buy anything new unless you want to!

— You can do a quick de-clutter of your home if you’d like, but we can do that together once I arrive. No deep cleaning required!

— Let your gardens and backyards grow wild, makes things more interesting and beautiful!

— Let your kids be what and who they are going to be. They don’t need to perform or smile for me. I want them exactly as they are - quiet and shy, wild and rambunctious, or even a little naughty :)

If we can all let go of the idea of perfection, even just a bit, you will FEEL such truth and love in your images for many, many years to come.
