I thought I lost my spark for photography.

The last few months I experienced a deep emptiness replacing my love of photography. As an artist it’s normal to have ups and downs, doubts and what ifs and being in this space for 10 years I’ve known it all too well. However the last few months I truly felt it was over; the spark was gone.

It was a combination of many things, but mostly I didn’t feel appreciated. I fall in love with my clients—not in a traditional way of love but through my lens I see each soul in their most tender moments and I can’t help but open my heart to give them my best artwork.

This elopement breathed life back into my spark and the emptiness filled with love again. They helped me by simply opening their hearts and trusting me to capture their special day. Their laughs, smiles, our shared excitement and tears shine through these photographs.

If I experience that emptiness again I’ll remind myself of this elopement and all the couples, families and souls that have opened their hearts to my artwork over the last 10 years and it’ll keep my spark alive ✨
