The road is a 8.274 kilometer (5.141 miles) long that connects the island of Averøy with the mainland at Eide. The road runs across partially inhabited islands and skerries. The road has a width of 6.5 meters (21 ft) and consists of eight bridges. This road has been designated one of 18 National Tourist Routes.
