Last weekend’s engagement shoot was so dreamy. I found this back road in Bluemont, VA, a few years ago while there for a writing retreat. One more before the first session, I headed out for a small drive to explore and found this spot and thought one day, I would love to do a shoot here. So thankful my clients were on board and made the hour trip from DC, as it did not disappoint. I look forward to sharing more from this session over the next few days.

I had my first photo session since moving to DC, and it was a stunning one with this mama-to-be! We saw the storm moving in, so we decided to bump the session up earlier in the day, right before the storm rolled in, and I couldn’t have asked for more beautiful dramatic skies. I had my first family session in Alabama and just had to start posting some sneak peeks! Remember my last post mentioning that I was changing my style to a more of a fine art style? Well this is it, fine art photography is created with vision from the photographer as an artist. My goal is to express emotion through my photography. Thanks to Stormy Solis Photography for her workshop All Heart Access, I’ve been able to grasp what I’ve been envisioning for the last year.
