It’s hard to believe we’re down to just one more doubleheader and Nationals. This season has flown by.

As we prepare to head to Nationals in July, it’s the perfect time to reflect on what an incredible year our 11U Freedom Firebirds have had. This group has put in the work all season long, and it’s been amazing to watch them grow—not only as softball players, but as teammates and young women.

The Firebirds kicked off the fall by capturing two 12C championships at the USSSA Fall Brawl and USSSA Field of Screams tournaments before adding the USSSA 11B Fall State Championship to close out 2025. They carried that momentum into 2026, opening the spring with a championship at the USSSA 11O Crabtown Crackdown.

As the competition got tougher, the girls continued to rise to the challenge, earning runner-up finishes at the USSSA 11O SixFour3 March Madness and the 12B/C USA Governors Cup, while also finishing as Silver Bracket runners-up at the USSSA 12O Black Eyed Susan.

Although the USSSA 12O A&B State Championship didn’t end the way they had hoped, finishing tied for 5th place, they were the only 11U team to advance to the Gold Bracket—a testament to how far they’ve come competing against older teams all season.

The accomplishments don’t stop there. Every single athlete on this roster earned a nomination to the USSSA Mid-Atlantic All-State Games in August, a tremendous achievement that reflects the dedication, talent, and growth of this entire team.

While the championships and hardware are special, what stands out most is the culture these girls have built—one centered on hard work, resilience, support for one another, and never backing down from a challenge.
No matter what happens at Nationals, these girls have already put together a season to be proud of. One more doubleheader. One more tournament. Let’s finish this journey the same way we’ve played all year—together. 🦅🥎

All up in my Fever feels as we head into our last tournament of the season this weekend. Hard to believe another year has flown by. Thankful for the growth, the memories, and the friendships that this sport - and team - has given us. This time of year is always bittersweet. 🥹 Love you, Fever fam! ❤️🖤🥎
