Gloria here. Last weekend, for the first time in over a decade, I attended the Virginia Renaissance Faire. Sara go Bragh, Impressionistic Cosplay, and Iridescent Designs convinced us to come, and we had a lot of fun! I was very excited that my kirtle I sewed in 2013 still fit. I accessorized it with a partlet and jacket made by Carly W.

Gloria here. It’s a grey, rainy day here, which calls for a photo from a rain shoot a couple of years ago. I got so muddy that day, but we also had a lot of fun!

Gloria here. Sara go Bragh and I did not plan to wear similar 1780s gowns and fichus to the last Costume and Camera event; it was a happy coincidence. We had to grab some shots together! 📸 My lace fichu is by Fashions Revisited. I styled my wig using instructions from Kendra Van Cleave’s wig book. My dress, necklace, and earrings are made by me.

Gloria here, sharing some photos from last month’s Costume and Camera event at Rust Manor. Mike and I were experimenting with a non-historical vibe for my posing to contrast with my costume and the setting. We had fun with it! 👗📸 My lace fichu is by Fashions Revisited. I styled my wig using instructions from Kendra Van Cleave’s book. My dress, necklace, and earrings are made by me.

Gloria here, sharing some beautifully atmospheric shots by Brad Behles Photo from the March Costume and Camera meetup at Congressional Cemetery. I really get a mood of Max in a Vienna church from these photos.

Gloria here, with a wonderful shot by Munchkin Photos from a Costume and Camera meetup last spring. It was great to wear this 1780s dress, which I made way back in 2009 when we still lived in Massachusetts. I love being able to get a lot of use out of my comes. 👗 My cap is by Fashions Revisited.

Mike here. This photo of amazing couture-inspired Castiel from Supernatural is a testament to how collaboration can turn a dream into reality. When Lauren said she was bringing this costume (complete with wingspan) to the Costume and Camera event at Congressional Cemetery, I immediately envisioned the shot I wanted to capture. After some planning, some experimentation, lighting assistance from , logistical and wing support from , patience and posing from Lauren, and editing magic from Gloria, we were able to create the exact look I had imagined. Huge thanks to everyone involved (especially Lauren for making such an awesome cosplay)!
