Happy May 1st Everyone! I hope you are all staying safe and healthy out there.
As some of you may know, tonight usually marks one of my favorite evenings of the entire year. Not only would it have been the opening night of M3 Festival at Merriweather Post where KIX closes and literally Rocks Your Face Off, but it’s also what I consider the opening weekend of the summer concert season for the DMV.
I know, there are great shows all winter long, but this is the weekend is where things start to get more exciting for all of us Cool Kids.
While I know M3 has been re-scheduled (can’t wait) for September, and I know there’ll likely be some other grand spectacle to reopen music-life as we know it, I still can’t help but think of how f***ing good ‘Cold Blood’ and Blow My Fuse’ would sound live right now.
So all things considered, I thought I’d share a past M3 (2015) photo that captures the essence of my feelings towards this whole covid-19 mess appropriately. My sincere thanks to Mr. Steve Whiteman for bringing these emotions into such a clear visual that we can all appreciate.
