Any time that you're able to get multiple generations in a photo, DO IT!
It was so fun to get to hang out with three generations of interesting and strong women. Originally, the matriarch came along as her daughter's "dog handler" for the session (and she was excellent at handling the dogs!) but I'm so glad we got some photos with these three generations together. They're perfect. ❤

The hardest and easiest parts of the last few weeks of moving for me have been the dogs. I have two (Hardy and Lillibit) and it's been wild trying to keep them entertained and enriched while I had a "to do" list the size of Alaska and the busiest fall photo season I've ever been through. But playing with them and cuddling them has been the ultimate stress relief, too, and I wouldn't have it any other way because for me, it's not home without dogs. ❤

A little over a year ago I got to photograph this lovely family to celebrate their adoption of these two beautiful pups, (now Jelly) and (now Biscuit), and I loved getting to reconnect with them again this year to update their family photos. Baby Biscuit is now all grown up, Jelly is just a lovely as ever, and they are still an incredibly sweet, goofy, and loving bunch.

As I leave Memphis, I'm now realizing that I have almost no photos of myself with Memphis landmarks! Well, one selfie with the amazing s**g carpet walls at Graceland but that's it. I always assumed I'd have more time. Learn from my mistake: take those iconic photos while you can!

Happy small business Saturday! This is your friendly reminder to get creative this holiday season. Instead of ordering something off amazon, support your local artists and crafts people! Worried about shipping delays? Give someone an experienced-based gift like tickets to local live theater or a gift certificate to a session with your favorite photographer (😉)! Invest in the small businesses that give your community its character!

I'm a day late but I want to express how thankful I am for the amazing people and families that have come back to me time after time to photograph their lives! I love being able to watch your families grow as I grow as a photographer.
Between being fully booked over the last couple months and packing up my house, it's been a busier-than-ever "busy season" but it has been the best! As I get ready to move next week (gasp!), I'm realizing how much I'm going to miss my Memphis people! I'm already planning a trip back to the 901 next fall to visit y'all and continue to photograph you, if you'll have me! I'm invested in your family story!

🎉Big News, Y'all!🎉
I'm going to be relocating to the Washington, DC area in late November!
Memphis has been such a wonderful city to me and I really loved most of my 6 and a half years here. I found my passion for photography here, a couple dogs, and some amazing friends that I will treasure forever. I'll miss y'all more than I can say. Hell, y'all taught me to say "y'all" and I'll forever be in your debt for that.😂 But this pandemic has made it so clear to me how important family is and I need to be closer to them right now. ❤

So Memphians: if you've been thinking about doing photos with me, it's last call! I have very limited availability left before I leave so hit your girl up ASAP. After that, come visit me in DC!

DC friends: I'm so excited to be returning to you!! I'll be able to book sessions in DC starting in December!

I love a handsome, silvery face, especially when it belongs to one of the Goodest Good Boys™ that I've ever met. I also love seeing the changes in light in one location over just 15 minutes. Sometimes, especially in this case where I got to catch up with a friend and love on her sweet Bo boy, it's worth it to relax and see what kind of show the sun is going to put on for you.

When you photograph a pup named Topo Chico, obviously you have to pick up a flat on your way.
Pair him (well, his namesake) with some lime juice and tequila for my favorite warm weather drink and have a lovely Friday! 🥳😘💃🏼🕺
This little man is through Streetdog Foundation and is as bubbly and pure as his namesake. He’s a sweet 7yo chihuahua pup who loves to cuddle, prance around the park, and let you get lost in his eyes. ❤️
