Elliston, Newfoundland, Canada

I was excited during my workshop with Trav in the Bush (Nikon Canada Ambassador) when I noticed some Atlantic puffins hanging out near some wildflowers in Elliston, Bonavista in Newfoundland, Canada. I decided to see if they?d go amongst the flowers and was rewarded with a whole series of shots of puffins with flowers. This was one of my favorites, with the puffin looking towards the sun peeking between some clouds. I think the black and white really brings out the textures and eyes of the puffin!

In front of City Hall, Avignon, France

This is the City Hall building near the carousel in Avignon, France. On the day I was there, there was a wedding ceremony every 15 minutes. This Muslim family had about 50 guests waiting for a wedding. The bride and groom came walking down the path dressed in wedding finery. I loved this shot because it respected the couples' privacy, yet showed the excitement before the ceremony.

Milford, Michigan

I tried taking photos of bees on lavender with high shutter speeds, and it?s not easy. On a cooler afternoon, taking photos in a neighbor?s flower garden, I noticed the bees were also exploring the flowers (I wasn?t pollinating them). I waited for this one to come up over from the back of the flower and - got you!
