Carpenters Local 330 are having a labor dispute with Arco Murray National Construction and McCarthy Concrete, INC . These companies are building the new Topgolf in Cranston.

I spoke with Ernesto Belo from the Carpenters Union 330 today and he explained how not only has these companies not hired from the local unions, they do not pay the area standard wages or benefits. They have created a picketing line protesting these issues. Their tactics are having an effect as a local concrete company will not cross the picket line delaying the Topgolf facility moving forward. Ernesto said he has spoken with State Rep Brandon Potter of Cranston and Sabina Matos, LT. Governor of RI for help. My question is why would the Cranston City Council allow this to take place? We should be supporting RI and not out sourcing.
