I took this photo because something in her stopped me. Bundled against the cold, hands worn by time, she held her sign the way one holds a truth that has survived decades: Everybody’s got a right to live. Her face carries history, grief, resilience, and an unwavering gentleness all at once. In a crowd full of movement and noise, she stood steady not shouting, not demanding - just present.
